Accuracy is central to what Cowlins does. Because content here can influence real decisions about animal welfare and farm operations, we take fact-checking seriously.

How We Verify Information

• Claims about animal health, nutrition, and veterinary topics are cross-checked against peer-reviewed research, veterinary reference texts, and guidance from recognized agricultural and veterinary bodies.
• Statistics and figures are sourced from reputable organizations (e.g. government agriculture departments, universities, industry associations) and cited where practical.
• Breed information is checked against recognized breed societies and registries.
• Practical farming advice is reviewed against current extension-service and industry best practice.

What We Won’t Do

We avoid presenting anecdotal or unverified claims as established fact, and we avoid specific medical dosing or treatment instructions that should come from a licensed veterinarian who has examined the animal.

We review every report and update the article, and materially incorrect claims are corrected promptly.
