DMCA Copyright Policy

Cowlins respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users and contributors to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe content on Cowlins infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated agent containing:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g. the URL)
4. Your contact information (address, phone number, email)
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Counter-Notification

If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice containing your identification, the material removed and its location prior to removal, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake, and your consent to jurisdiction.

Repeat Infringers

Cowlins reserves the right to remove content and terminate accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
